Carry on beeping! - Akasa All in One problem

My Akasa All-in-One must be bugged or something? The fan cables have to be in a very precise position, otherwise it beeps thinking that the fan has failed (no it's not the fan, since I've plugged several different ones in it).

What do you think? I'm guessing it's not supposed to be like this; should I return it?

Have you checked the connectors on the back of the unit to see if they have come away, if they have then it me a simple process to resolder them back in place.

Yep they're in - in fact they have to be in a very precise position, otherwise it thins the fan has failed. By precise position I mean they have to be right in, but pushed down a bit as well.
