Carseats, Pushchairs, Strollers etc

Well guys thanks once again for the information.
After looking at the Graco stuff, it has good points and bad, and in the end I doubt we'll go for it, as my wife really hates the materials that it is constructed from.
We tried the loola, and quinny, in fact we've tried virtually everything now.
My wifes heart seems set upon the bugaboo bee plus, which isn't cheap, best online retailer i have found for the pushchair, a cocoon, a carseat which fits and the adapters with raincover sunhood and that stuff is £550 (no easyfix though). Seems to be around £130 less than mothercare can manage on it which is something.
They have a 2010 model which has a better seat from the 2009 model, 8cm adjustable in directions etc, just generally more thoughtout.
It has the advantage of being light, very light, and will breakdown flat into my 207 boot, which is a major plus point also.

We'll likely be going for this, as some chap did make the point, saving £200 now for 2 years of headaches will not be a good thing, no matter how thick skinned I am. It is quite a bit more than i was hoping to spend, but such is life, i shall trawl the net for other suppliers for a few days before I decide anyway.

We had a graco carseat, with base didnt have isofix in my honda but with the base the seat was perfect, also you just click in and out of the base.
There will be lots of stuff that you think you need and you don't. Baby monitor, parents bought one for us £50 and we used it once. I got a mama's and papa's millie and boris changing station with bath, hardly used it. Luckly i resold it on ebay for the same price i paid for it.
Bottle warmer, used it once then after that used the kettle and a mug to warm the bottle.
One item we could not have done without and helped get the baby to sleep, was one of those musical swings, this is without a doubt the best thing we spent our money on hands down.
Theres some really good deals to be had on ebay, just dont get suckered into " it must be new and the pram must cost more than my car " syndrome.

One other thing to watch out for is how small it goes when trying to put it in the boot.

Yuo have to decide if you are ok with the whole game of splitting the seat, wheels and chassis apart every time you put it away in the back. We decided that it was far too much like hard work and went with something that took maybe 20 - 30 seconds from opening the boot to having it up and ready.

Yes thats one of the advantages of the bugaboo bee plus, you swicth the seta forward, and then pull two tabs, and ina round 7 or 8 seconds whole thing is folded, I can do this with it myself after 2 goes in the shop. Seat doesn't need to come off, but it can come off if you want. Actually the Bee Plus has many many good points, only issue with the damn thing is the price.

Change station and stuff we are not going for, bottle warmer I have already been warned to avoid by many many people :)

Anyone had a tummytub? Heard from a few they are great for washing,a s they squash little ba and it feels happy in the water? Opinions?

also try and get hold of a bumbo for when they can sit upright, they are fantastic for keeping the baby in place if your doing something.

Bumbos can be great for some, horrible for others. Jake loved his so we will try poppy in one.

Bottle warmers can be good also, were getting a lot of use out of ours to keep a bottle warm for a little while
