Cartoon creation software

I am looking for some software to help me create cartoons for my kids.

Basically I want import kids heads into cartoons for them. I would prefer something that is streamlined,looks good and 3D.

Is there anything that can do this?

I think would be something nice fun for my kids with it being holidays.

There was an online cartoon maker mentioned on BBC Click at the weekend... I've not looked properly yet but from what they showed, it looked good.

Very limited as I would love something with animation yet looking on the link dont seem to have that thanks anyways Nanobot

or Anime Studio should be a good choice as it pretty popular it seems.
if your looking for 3D then have a look at Blender or Maya. from memory Maya did have a home version i think (Maya Personal Learning Edition) but i cant locate quickly on the AutoDesk website.
