I just bought some GeIL 2x1GB 3200 Value Dual Channel Kit to replace my Corsair 2x512 3200 XMS kit. New memory looks great and is working fine, but was just wondering whether there was a performance decrease because my old Corsair memory was CAS2?
There will be performance decrease but shouldn't be noticeable in normal windows environment.
Are you running everything stock?? If so try getting into BIOS and lower the timings a little, Geil value should be able to achieve 2.5/3/3/8 instead of stock SPD values of 3/4/4/8.
