Hi,

In another thread I was asking about whether a spec I liked the look of was looking good in everyone elses opinion. Most of the alternatives that came back had CAS3 2GB DDR3200 RAM instead of CAS2 which is what I would have thought is better.

In particular:
Mushkin 2GB DDR EM3200 CAS3 vs G.Skill 2GB Zx CAS2

Can anyone suggest why the Mushkin would be a preferred choice? Apart from the obvious fact that it is cheaper :D

The ZX is a good choice, I would recommend that? Unless the price or overclocking potential of the Mushkin is soooo much better?!

Think musicman thought there was a RAM revolution, calm down buddy.

I'd probably plum for the cheaper stuff if not overclocking because the memory timings don't make a massive amount of difference, therefore isn't worth the extra money. But if you really want the best performance, the GSkill would be the better buy but at a premium.
