Case Advise - Needed

Hello all,

I ordered an Antec 300 Gaming Case 2 days ago, Whilst the cooling is pretty good, I dont like the cable management, The description said it had good cable management but i've found out it isnt too great(Yes.. i should have researched before ordering )

I'm thinking of sending it back(Hope i'm allowed.. going to post under RMA/Return & Technical Queries section) and needed advise on which case i should get for best cooling and easy/good cable management, My budget is around £50-60(Can go £70 highest) I know it's a small budget for what i'm asking for, But hopfully you guys can pull it off I always get excellent advise on this forum

Here is my new build spec, incase you guys need to know:

You may be able to return it under Distance Selling Regs, but I'm not really sure how that works. If you can't the you may want to take a Dremel to it for those cable management features

You're kinda stymied by stock at the moment but the Akasa Freedom Xone is a very good case for the ~£40 price tag and is in stock. For ~£60 it doesn't get much better than the Coolermaster 690-II Lite, though the Xigmatek Utgard comes close. Lancool's K-58 is nice if you're not fussed by the internal aesthetic and instead just want good cable management.

I don't think that any of the above cases have issues with the H-50, but it's worth checking in with the CS folks before you buy.

+1 for the 690. Good looking, good cooling, good cable management with room for more fans and other expansions.

While the Antec 300 might not have the best design for cable management there is no reason that you can't make a good job of it. Take a little time to plan where they are going to go and if need be make some extentions. It took me all of a few hours to get a decently tidy system. I even did a few minor mods to route the cables better and get access to the rear of the CPU area without removing the mobo (for changing CPU's and coolers).

Hello scotty, thanks for the reply. This is a good plan, Do you have any pictures in-side your case that you care to show? I do like the Antec 300, the cooling is very good, It's a shame it doesnt have better cable management i would mod the mobo chassis and cut holes, but i've never done this and i'm a noob in these area's

If you could get some pictures that would be awsome.
