Case Air Filters. Love Them Or Hate Them?

Just wondering. I always use the air filters on cases, but I really wonder at times whether they are worth it. Sure, you get more dust inside the PC if you remove the filter, but you also get higher airflow. I still get dust inside the PC even with the filters so I am wondering whether it's really worth it to use them. What do you do? Filters yes or no?

If you're getting significant dust with the filters in place then they're either a bit **** or you have a fan set up with too much exhaust and it's pulling dust in through the various holes most cases have.

Filters, no filters, great airflow, solid panels, positive pressure, negative pressure.. they all end up with dust in the case eventually.

I currently use a P400A and find it simple enough just to give it a tickle inside once a month. Happy with the thermals after using an old Fractal case, with no airflow, for close to a decade.

They're worth it. The filters on the fans in my case need to have a matt of dust and cat hair pulled off them every so often, but I haven't had to clean inside the case for 5 years.

I bought a set of demciflex filters for my phantek evolv x as I've got two 280mm rads as intake's in my case and they catch a fair bit of dust.
I was a little disappointed after receiving my Evolv X and then noticing there was no dust filter for the top included..:(
I failed to notice this when watching & reading about 50 reviews of the case :o

Just about every case these days comes with a top dust filter (even the cheap cases)

Yeh same here it's OK if you have the fans as outakes.
Am not sure as i have 3x 140mm front intakes and 3x 140mm exhaust (1x back, 2x top)
if the exhaust suck out more air then the 3x inlet fans can give then they be sucking air through holes/gaps in the case

Am hoping to buy a dust filter for the top and i want to try it with the 3x front fans and the 2x top fans all as intake and just have the rear 140mm fan as exhaust..
So a bit like my last case which was a FT02 with 3x 180mm intake fans and one 120mm exhaust fan
