Case: Coolermaster Scout

1. Push/Pull Configuration on Corsair H50 Both (120mm)

2. Original Exhaust Fan (140mm)

3. Original Intake Fan (140mm)

4. Bottom Side Panel Fan (Exhaust 120mm)

5. Intake Fan for ASUS 480 GTX

NOTE: Top Side Window Panel is currently not in use due to H50 pipes touching the side, H50 will be reseated.

My Project

1. On the H50 i have terrible fans, one is the original Corsair fan and the second is a Casecom fan i had lying around. I need 2 120mm fans preferably Black or a dark colour which will decrease temps but nice and silent :)

2. Can stay the same

3. Need a 140mm Fan again Silent and a dark colour (pull cool air onto the hard drive

4. Xigmatek Purple 120mm Fans (Intake, to pull cold air onto the pipes of the 480)

5. Intake Fan for ASUS 480 GTX

6. Need a 140mm or 120mm Fan again Silent and a dark colour to pull cool air into the case in general :D

7. Xigmatek Purple 120mm Fans (Exhaust to push out all the hot air the Nvidia card pushes out)

What do you think of the Airflow for this case? it will have 4 Intake fans and 2 Exhaust fans.

Can you guys recommend Silent but good 120mm and 140mm fans for the above please?

while it would be hotter air going through the fins, the whole area will be cooler in the first place, as currently, after the air heats up going through the RAD, where do you think its going? onto the CPU socket area, then out the case, so while it has air flow over it, it is hot air.

Ah i get it, with number 6 and 1 facing the same airflow direction cooler air will pass over more components! Lol sorry for the delayed reaction there haha!

What fans do you guys recommend?

For Silence while pushing an ok amount of air I like Fractals, but there are quieter ones, or ones that are a little louder and push more. Or quieter and push more, but cost twice as much.

For Silent ones, google silent pc and go to a website that has a lot of details on the different fans (cant link as they sell computer stuffs so its against the rules).

Make sure you end up with more air going in your case than being exhausted, as then it helps stop dust getting sucked in through little gaps etc. Also, since your 480 exhausts out the case anyway, why do you want to stick an exhaust directly above it? Does it still heat up the air above it so much?

It doesnt heat up the air that much, i just thought this would get rid of the hot air that it may push out if it managed to escape from the closed case somehow.

Why do you think 2 intake fans would be better?

no, was just curious really. Dont think it will make much difference to temps though, but its worth a go if you fancy it :)

The intake down the bottom should lower GPU temps nicely :)

yeah the h50 used as an exhaust is considerably better than an intake. the temps arent much different really

I have found that my H50 as an exaust with only one fan has dropped by about 3 degrees so could drop more with push pull. I also have a top fan as exaust. I have 2 front intake fans and a side intake with psu fan facing up exausting air from gpu's. Average temp inside my case is 27 degrees C.

Im also using the NZXT sentry LXE fan controller so case runs silent and rather cool.
