Hey just got my new case (antec 300) getting roughly the same temps all round with this case from my old TT armor full tower.

just a quicky....as the power supply is at the bottom of this case...well 1/2 an inch raised, will the be ok for having my power supply fan facing down.?

i tried to face it up but when you screw it in the holes did not match up so i had no option, and comments appreciated guys.! :)

PSU is the TT Toughpower 750Watt

:p

I wouldn't, I don't think that's enough of a gap for airflow.

Edit: You could cut a hole in the case under it though.

Facing down is fine. Seen it before in that case (and in the Antec 1200).

You could cut a circular hole in the case where the PSU fan would be positioned.

Facing down means that at least dust isn't falling into the internals of the PSU 24/7.

Hmm right not a problem, thanks.! :) just wanted to make sure it would be fine, really cant be bothered taking it all out and re-wireing everything again.! lol

might buy a good 80mm fan and cable tie it to the back of the psu to help draw the warm air out of the psu.?

Yeah, that would help.

Or an Antec Spot Cool fan mounted internally & directed at the PSU.

Having said that, are there any methods/programs for measuring PSU temperature?

You still might want to monitor it for the first couple of days. (I'd still cut that hole in the bottom of the case though).

cant seem to find ANYTHING to monitor psu temps either, Hmmm

wouldnt cutting a hole in the bottom of my case just let all the dust fly right up into the psu.? and it would really only add another half inch to the room under the psu to intake, would this be worth it.?
