I have no idea and or interest in RGB on my computer, however I have a 14 year old son who does :)

He has purchased this case "CiT Terra Mid Tower Gaming PC Case", which seems to have a fan/ARGB controller that I have no idea about.

This is the controller,

and that's how it came, i've not touched it as yet. Can anyone explain;

a. how it's powered? is that what looks like the sata power thing on the right?

b. how do the LED's get controlled? the motherboard is a "Gigabyte h110m-s2h" which doesn't seem to have any sort of ARGB controller? << is that a thing?

c. If I can figure out how to get it powered.. what else do I need to be able to control the ARGB?

Sorry for the ramble.. but I really don't understand this whole ARGB thing..

Thanks for any and all information..
R.

It looks to Be SATA powered so yes, you'll need to connect a SATA power cable. The case looks like it has an LED switch on it which is connected to the controller (LED SW top left) which will likely cycle through the colours available.

You board doesn't have a RGB connector so you won't be able to software controll the RGB.

Don't do RGB myself, but hope this video helps explain the hub.

Thanks for that.. I did find that video previously. but clearly missed the bit where he touches on the ARGB controller.. he says the colours are controlled with the reset switch.. which seems a bit strange..

I'll be putting the case to some actual use soon, so I guess I will find out.

Think a few case manufacturers do this, some people would rather have a RGB switch instead of a Reset switch.

If you want the Reset switch to reset the PC, connect it to the front panel instead of the hub and control RGB through software/bios.
Someone else will have to advise on this though. ;)

His board doesn’t have an RGB connector AFAIK so I’m not sure he can.
