To make it short , had Antec 902 case witch its stock fans only at back there was h80 with push n pull exhaust , and i have 980ti reference.

Swapped case to enthoo luxe removing all hdd cages , changing 200mm intake fan to two 140mm PH-F140SP also adding two more intakes on bottom PH-F140SP.

there is also one exhaust fan PH-F140SP but on smallest rpm possible to have more positive pressure, and a 360 rad with 3x 120mm fans as exhaust on top .

And for some reason gpu is hotter and has to use more rpm speed (using 1:1 fan profile ) so it is easy to spot .

what could be the problem ? any suggestions

Ty

The front panel on the luxe and primo is pretty restrictive. On the primo I've removed it and used a mesh radiator grill. Helps airflow a good deal, but dust intake is higher so it needs cleaning more often.

i did forget to mention it i removed the metal thing from the front of the case to increase airflow , and small mesh from the top to help rad exhaust better.

May be insufficient exhaust, restricting airflow into the machine and causing a hot area around the GPU. Try bumping the exhaust fan speed and see if that helps.

tried both things sidepanel of and bumping exhaust higher still the same, maybe because it is bigger case .

I guess ill when new cards hit i will get the aio version of gpu .

as for now 75/76/77c at 75/76/77 % fan speed bit annoying when playing witcher 3

well i could try replacing thermal paste i have grizzly kryonaut

I would try to reapply your thermal past or try reseating the heatsink and see if you see any difference also make sure you are not having heat build up due to negative pressure in 1 area due to fan direction if you could post some pics of fan directions that would be great

if the side pannel off gives the same high temps there is a good chance you broke the seal on the thermal paste. i have done it myself.

over time the paste drys out and that fine because the bond as already been made, but if the move the gpu and give it a bit of a bang you can brake that bond, and temps will start to spike.

swapped thermal paste on gpu ,see not difference i guess it suppose to work like that, ill post pictures of inside case next day maybe im missing something

yea i guess its because fan proximity is further away little bit that is why few degrees hotter then in previous case .

when new cards come out i will be changing to aio or aftermarket cooler.

My guess is that your old case happened to be set up so fresh air was passing in the right area to provide maximum benifit to your GPU, while your new case is set up so that the stream of air between intake and exhaust skip the GPU, leaving it in a dead zone.

I'm in no way saying this is fact, it just makes sense to me.

If the PSU is in eco mode then it is still getting hot just not having the fan spin to cool it down. Maybe this can introduce more heat to the case? Definitely turning the PSU around so the fan draws in cool air from outside to cool. Itself has to be a better way for it to cool?

I had this problem with my new case, too many intakes and not enough exhaust, the hot air in the case cant get out causing temps to rise. Either remove bottom intakes and add as roof exhaust or remove bottom intakes and replace current exhaust for faster/better fan
