I am currently trying to choose a new case for my next PC build

It will contain a 9800X3D and RTX 4090. I have the Asus TUF 4090 OC edition so it's quite a sizeable card.

I was pretty set on a Lian Li case, but i want something that both isn't massive or sounds like a jet engine, yet i would like good airflow for long gaming sessions. I don't mind a little RGB/ARGB if it comes with it, but its not my first choice.

Some of the issues I have seen, is to do with the power connector for the card, some people have commented that the cable ends up being squashed against the side panel.

I was originally looking at the O11D Evo case, but wondering what other experiences people have had?

Budget in the region of £150-£200, plus any additional fans, CPU cooler, haven't decided on Air or AIO, but open to suggestions. Thanks

I have a Phanteks P600S in Gunmetal, brilliant case.

Can fit multiple SSD's, HDD's, and any GPU you'd care to buy.

I have a 4090FE and it fits with ease.

Best case I've ever had, the cooling is awesome.

Hi, thanks for the reply. What's your thermals like when gaming? Are you gaming at 1440p or 4k?

Did you add any extra case fans? did you go air cooler or AIO? Thanks

Mainly 3440x1440, sometimes UW 4K.

Thermals are excellent, the 4090 rarely goes above 40-46C at 3440x1440.

I have an 360 AIO for the 12700K installed at the top, 2 140mm intake fans at the front and one 140mm exhaust at the rear.

This is my setup, you can see how much room there is.

I have a Phanteks Evolv X. I’ve had it a few years now. It’s a great quality and very solidly built case with tempered glass on both sides. I’m not sure if it’s still available though. It accepts the Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC with ease, and that’s one of the larger cards. I have just rebuilt around X870E/9800X3D using it.
