Heya folks

does anyone know where I can get hold of (if it exists) an anti static mini hoover so I can keep my new sweet Antec gaming case cleaned up? I used to have a small hand held one a few years back but I don't think it's anti static. Been looking around for one for the past few days but not had much luck... :(

You could always earth it by taping some wire onto a metal part of a normal mini-vac and connect it the ground.

Should work I think

is it a 900 gaming case they do look like turbine powered dust collectors
i think your easier/cheaper buying filter material and fitting it in front the fans you can remove/clean it when you want and slip it back in.
i know acryan do aluminum fan filter in all sizes not sure on price though.

Use your normal vacuum cleaner but dont use a brush attatchment (which will create static). Its what I always do, coupled with a natural bristle paint brush (because nylons bristles = static).

From what Ive been told the static is caused by the tiny dust particles moving through the hoover hose?, although i could have got the wrong end of the stick.

Filters are OK but you still get a fair bit of dust in the case but a lot less than without a filter. The dust you do get coming into the case is really fine and just tends to put a layer on the top of your sound card and gfx card etc. I remove this using a can of compressed air and a paint brush (natural bristles) as said above.

I just use me Dyson with the brush attachment.....iv never been cautious with regards to static and iv never had a problem with it breaking components.
