Case Compatibility Check

In the middle of deciding parts still for my new build.

I quite like the look of the following towers but I need help in determining if the below cooler and graphics card would fit either of them or not:

- Bitfenix Shinobi XL Window
- Corsair Obsidian 650D
- Thermaltake Overseer RX-I
- Zalman MS800 Plus
- Zalman Z11 Plus

Compatibility check with:

- Corsair Hydro H105 Extreme Liquid Cooler
- Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Toxic OC 3072MB GDDR5

I have found a website called PC Part Picker UK which states what are compatible but I have my doubts for some reason so looking for some confirmations etc.

PS, as this is also the first water cooled setup I will be doing and although not a full custom setup, I have a question about coolers such as the H105. What do I need to do to install them? Do I need to fill them with any coolant or anything or is it simply mount it to the tower and install it over the processor like a regular heatsink?

Sorry to bump but I could do with some help as soon as possible really as I could be ordering tomorrow so need to finalise my build asap.

I can research myself but I cannot get a definitive answer anywhere so please help me :p

It will definitely fit in the 650D, and should also fit in the Shinobi. I don't know about the other ones though.

Have you considered the Corsair 540 ?


The H105 is a sealed unit, so you don't need to do anything with it regarding topping up etc.

When you say it will definitely fit, do you mean both the H105 and the Radeon R9 280X Toxic?

No I have not looked at this one yet but at a quick glance of the windowed one looks pretty good so I will take a closer look at this one for sure.

EDIT: The Corsair 540 looks awesome! :D

If you check out the video above, scroll to 2min 55 ish and it gives you the Corsair cases that the H105 fits :)

The 280X will fit in both cases.

Sweet, just hope my computer desk is going to be big enough for the 540 and a 27" monitor :p

Dimensions of the desk are:
41.5" Width
20.5" Depth

lee32uk would this case work for me

i have the antec 1220 cooler im using a zalman z9 plus now and it dont fit along with my gpu card..

Yes the antec will fit in the 540 :)
