Hi all,
I'm just about to buy some new fans for my system, I have a Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 AMD 760G AM3+, and there is only one fan in the system as of now, which is connected to the one slot I can see that says SYS_FAN. I also have a spare molex connector and I know the fan comes with a molex to three pin adapter. I have an ARTIC red+ 550W psu, as I say with one molex spare. I pretty much know the answer to this question-I can only have two fans max with this setup, but I just wanted to double check with people who are better than me at this ;D

Wont massively bother me. The corsair ones I'm now looking at getting will run at 1650 rpm at 30db which is the equivalent of a soft whisper at 5 meters away, and I'm not bothered at all at having a completly silent pc

And the Akasa I linked offer similar CFM at half the noise level? hmm :p Don't really get the hype behind Corsair fans if I'm honest

I know I shouldn't but I'm going for them because they look nice :P
Also soon I'm getting a new system which'll probably have a corsair case so it'd be nice to have so extra matching fans :)

You can get a Molex splitter extension, but connecting fans to Molex will always run at full speed unless you get a Fan controller

Or wire them in pairs in series! That way they will be running @ 6v (50% speed)
I needed some fans for my Antec case so bought 4 x 120mm Fans from ebay for £1.69 each delivered and wired them up this way, super cheap, practically silent and more than enough cooling for my case :D

Sod paying £10 for 1 fan

And practically rubbish in terms of airflow and build quality! Who am I to complain though as long as they do the job ;)
