Is this a thing of the past or do people still apply these sticky sheets to their cases?

I'm going to be stripping my case down again to fit a H70 but I'm humming and hawing whether to use the Akasa sticky panels all over the case. Or at some point in the future once the better weather arrives, strip it down again and paint the insides matte black. Perhaps carefully cut out a section for the CPU mount bracketing for future purposes...

I had read many years ago should one change their mind, they are a nightmare to remove due to the sheer stickiness that they leave. Also if one was about to go this route, how far is it recommended to go near the back of the area of the motherboard (where the edges of the board stops) with it to cover the aluminium. Is it conductive material? static build up/power and such...

I love seeing these cases looking all matte black inside. It looks so minimal and sleek. Really modern. Seeing cases all silver inside reminds me of the late 90's. Even though my Lian Li PC-101 case is only 4 years old.

Decisions decisions....
