Hi,

I have recently started having issues with my case, I am getting periods of greater vibration on the side panel. It seems it is probably down to a vibration given off by a fan at the panels natural frequency as when I increase the fan rpm the vibration disappears. So I was thinking about getting some of this noise dampening matting to increase the mass of the panel, therefore change the natural frequency of the panel. Does anyone have any experience with different matting as I would like one which is on the dense side so it will increase the panels weight by enough.

Working in a car body repair shop, ive used sound deadening pads that go inside of door panels before, this worked great but jeez did it make the case heavy and once its on it 'aint' never coming off :D. (not without a scraper and a hot air gun) .. visit a local autobody repair shop and see if you could blag a few sheets from them, they should keep them in stock .
