Hi Guys,

I will be having an i5 2500k, a corsar h100, 8gb ram, up to 2gb gpu.

What case is more suitable or any other suggestions please:
NZXT Phantom
Silverstone Raven 2
Bitfenix Colossus

A case is a very personal choice, as you'l be the one looking at it for the next however many years you will be using it.

I can vouch the Silverstone Raven 2 is a fantastic case tho :)

The h100 will not fit in the Raven unless you put it at the bottom but this then means you will loose the benefits of the large predetor fans at the bottom.

I have the raven 2 and use a h80 on my 2500k and it runs really nice.

If the h100 is a must then the raven is a no go really.

I believe so, bit of a pain but it's a fantastic case.

By the way, do you have the H100 already?

Just that a high end air cooler will perform similarly with a little less noise whilst costing less, but will of course take up a lot of space and may have issues with RAM heatspreaders.

I dont have any bits yet in all honesty, just that i saw the h100 for 80quid and thought its a bargin!
What air cooler would u recommend?

Noctua NH-D14 (£65), Thermalright silver arrow (£55), Cogage Arrow (£36) or even the Thermlright MUX at £26 would do the job fine.

If you go for a normal cooler I'd be inclined to recommend the Raven due to its superior air cooling abilities. That's not saying the Corsair is a bad case before the fan boys flame me.

The NZXT Phantom is a good call, nice case to work with the fascia is a bit plasticy but it does all feel of quality. I'm also fairly sure you can put a 360 radiator in the roof as it has a similar setup to the ATCS 840 (2x 220mm fans).

That would get my vote anyway
