case defects

hey

bought myself a bitfenix ghost case - it came on wednesday but I hadn't gotten round to opening it till today but Iv found a scratch on the side panel and some small protrusions or maybe they are material sticking out from a tiny impact.

Does anyone know if I can get rid of these and if so how?
idk enough about bitfenix finishes to know if it can polished out or whatever.

Contact the place you bought it from and exchange it?

That said, I bought my case from O/C and then damaged it myself - Contacted ThermalTake and explained, asked for a replacement part and said I'd pay for it - Boom! 1 week later they sent me the part free of charge and I never paid a penny!

But I'd rather not try and send a case through royal mail god only knows what they'd charge me

They are really good and have in the past arranged a courier collection for a swap!

If I find no defects anywhere else do you think I could swap only the side panel ?

I doubt they'd do that. Take some pics and open up a thread in the CS forum. Bailey or 5UB will get round to you, ace blokes the both of them :cool:

Don't count on it! In the past, I've had a replacement delivered and the faulty one collected at the same time! This was a while ago mind, but they may have a similar system in place now.

The thing is I'm not sure they stock a single side panel, whereas normally they'd claim on their courier for a case that has been delivered they can't do that for a sidepanel that's not been delivered.

My guess is they'll swap the cases.

I'll do that in a bit, when the things charged up.

The nicks (?) I'd guess you'd call them, are small but one in particular is catching the light and annoying me to an irrational level
