Hey,

Well basically I have the Akasa Eclipse,

I recently however bought a P180.. in silver..

I'm stuck on which I like best, what or your thoughts on the cases?

I'm drawn forwards the Eclipse more than anything, as it just looks soo amazingly good under my desk.. and doesn't sound like a Dyson aka P180.

What are your opinions on the case?

-Matt

LOL.

Your reasons for liking each are the complete opposites of normal. Or have you just made a mistake?

I have spent the last few days working on mates pcs in P182s, there nice, but overall I definitely prefer my Eclipse

Hmm, I'm liking the eclipse a little more...

Problems with the Eclipse..:

1.) Its very Wide..
2.) It tempts me to add Water Cooling.. pfftt :p
3.) Because its so big, the inside always looks bare which makes me spend money :|

Problems with the P180..

1.) Sounds like a Dyson
2.) Not enough space..
3.) No removeable motherboard try
4.) Side Panels are a git
5.) Feels a little tacky

I dont agree with the p180 sounding like a dyson My p180 is air cooled and has 4 x SilenX 120mm fans and barely makes any noise and temps are normal.

I agree with the rest of the statements.
other problems with the p180

1.) parts are easily breakable
2.) cable management is a nightmare

The eclipse is the best case below £140 in my opinion may not be the best looking though.

I agree C64.

Ahh I dunno what to do, I've basically got the two cases in the center of the room side by side..

I've been sat looking at them for 2 hours now.. :|

I think i'd be more attracted to the P180 if it had a window me thinks..

-Matt

The Antec 180 really doesn't look right with a window mod. Even really well done windows still don't look very good on it.
The problem of the Eclipse being too wide isn't a problem in my opinion :p

Colour in the back of the front panel where the led is with a permanent marker to dim the blue led just makes it perfect. It's quiter it's cooler it's wider it's more future proof it's lighter it gathers less dust it's a joy to work with and mod need i go on.

you could fit one..................... If you take out the Hdd cage and the FDD cage and maybe mod the 5.25" cage at the bottom or you could try and fit it on the bottom of the case.

i love it when you hear people say "it was difficult fitting everything in, not enough room to work in" etc big case for the win! bigger the case the bigger the components *you never know how big the next flagship graphics card will be*, bigger case means the option of watercooling, a bigger case also means more room to tidy those lovely little cables so they are out of view :)

I'd recommend the eclipse to anybody. If you don't have to move it often then it is one of my personal favourites. The 180 I never liked. Granted, it is probably better to see it in the flesh, however from photos to me it looks like a cheapo unbranded case.
