Hi all,

I have a new Antec 902 Ultimate case with a few additional fans. When im watching movies or surfing a find it a little bit loud (case sits 2 feet from me) and was wondering is there a fan controller someone could recommend me please.... it doesn’t have to be fancy, just allow me to slow a few fans down.

Cheers :D

ps, is there any software that can do this also!?

Have always used Zalman MFC 1 PLUS and found it ticks all the boxes

Looks
Price
ease of install
ease of use

many others out there though for more and less of your hard earned

What does "Maximum power 7.0W per channel " mean. I believe a noctua case fan I have is 12W(?), what does it mean in regards to this controller?

Watts = Volts x Amps.

So 7W = 12v x 0.58A

Provided your fan is rated at less than 0.58Amps then it'll be fine. Most are.

Noctua NF-P12 are rated at 0.09A so thereotecially you could hook up 6 of them to a single channel, although I wouldn't put more than 2 on a channel.

Fans normally have their current ratings written on one of the labels so you can work out what will work.

The Zalman is a good bit of kit, if you are going to run Deltas or Pumps its worth searching out the high power Sunbeam Rhebus controllers.
I have use Scythe (kaze master ace) before and it didn't like my linked fan set up (3 per channel) as it only had 4 inputs and at the time i was push/pulling a quad (think i had about 12 fans being controlled) and one of the channels stopped working.
The thing about the Zalman is you have 6 channels to play with so it gives you more freedom especialy if you use a few fan splitter cables.

Gotta recommend my Lamptron FC06,
Simple design, you can choose what colour you want the LCD to be, it handles the fans at decent wattages, also comes with temp probes (for RAM, HDDs, Intake fan temp)

It's a good controller, especially for under £30
