I have a Thermaltake M5 case which has a 14cm induction fan at the front,a 14cm fan in the top for exhaust as well as a 12cm in the back.
There's room in the side panel for 2x12cm fans,but,....and here's my dilema, should they be exhaust or intake:confused: Whats the considered opinion on this;)

try not to fit fans in the side panel, it distrupts the airflow, your best bet is to upgrade the current fans

Not much you can do to that unnecessary restrictive HDD cage but replace rear eaxhaust fan's cheap stamped mesh with normal wire grill finger guard and that will increase airflow.

Also that upper side hole is way too close to exhausts and probably causes at least some kind airflow shortcircuit so try taping some paper/cardboard to it and see how that affects to temperatures.
