Hello all
interesting thing started occuring to my case fans.
I have a Coolermaster Cosmos Pure so it has 4 120mm case fans in it from standard, 2 on the top one on the back and one in the bottom.
the two top fans are harder to clean due to my CPU cooler the Coolermaster V10, how ever I normally clean my computer case fans and filter every few months.
this week one of the fans in the top had started vibrating, so to see why I stopped the fan with my finger when it was running and then let it run again, initially it would stop the noise but it may then come back the next time I turned my computer on or randomly a while after. so my interpretation was that it wasn't spinning centrally.
getting fed up with having to do this throughout the week, I disconnected the fan and decided although its nice to have I could probably do fine with out it for now. after disconnecting this fan the one next to it started doing the same thing so they are both now disconnected and removed from the case. my temps are fine for now.
I can now hear a third fan developing the same issue.
I'm trying to work out why they are all failing at once.
could the fan controller on the board be dying? (its an old mother board ASUS P5N-T delux)
power supply on its way out?
fans all need oil?
fans all need replacing?
thankyou for any advice or guidance in advance.
