morning all just about to order all the parts I want for my build.

im getting the Corsair Graphite 780T case which has 2 140mm intake fans on the front and 1 140mm exhaust fan on the rear but it can fit an extra 3 120mm fans on the top and 2 120mm in the bottom.

I was wanting to fit the 3 120mm in the top and 2 120 in the bottom before I start building the unit just so its all in there ready.

The fan controller I've chose is the NZXT SENTRY 3 which can control 5 fans.

DON'T laugh as this maybe a stupid thing to say but can I run off the controller

Fan 1 = Front 2 fans
Fan 2 = Rear 1 fan
Fan 3 = Top 3 fans
Fan 4 = Bottom 2 fans

or will that overload the controller??

Thanks

Ill post the list when I get home!
I've been told I don't need all the fans but I just want to install them just Incase but can I combine the top 3 fans and run it as 1 fan on the controller??

Fan Controller: NZXT SENTRY 3 Fan Controller

Was thinking of adding the extra 3 120mm fans to the top and 2 120mm fans to the bottom the fans I've chose are the Corsair AF120-LED White Quiet LED

I've just read the spec on the NZXT SENTRY 3 and it says they can control 3 fans per channel so again my question.........

Does that mean I can run the fans like this

Channel 1 = Front Fans x 2
Channel 2 = Rear Fan x 1
Channel 3 = Top Fans x 3
Channel 4 = Bottom Fans x 2
Channel 5 = Not used for now.

Which 500w Coolermaster psu are you looking at? A lot of them are extremely poor and don't come near to being able to deliver 500w on the 12v rail. In fact most of them can only do between 360 and 408w which is extremely poor for a modern psu.

Is this going to be a gaming pc? If so it's a very unbalanced system. The 4790k is mismatched with the 750ti which is a fairly weak gpu. If it is a gaming system you would be better off dropping to a 4690k and putting the money towards a better gpu.

I think is the rs500

No it's just for photo and video editing

Do you know I can like tha fans as described above??????

All of their psu model numbers start with RS. What actual model group is it (as in GX, Elite Power, Real Power). I would strongly recommend that you go with a better brand of psu.

As for the fan controller, going by this review, each of the five channels will handle 15w giving a max of 75w across all five channels. You need to find the wattage of the fans you are going to use and if they then come in under 15w per channel then theoretically you should be ok. Most fans are rated in amps so you need to multiply the amps by the voltage to find the wattage. For example, you have a fan rated at 0.25A running at 12v so, 0.25x12=3w.

It's this one Cooler Master RS-500-ACAB-M3 Thunder B Series 500W GREEN Power Supply ErP

Yeah that works out for the fans in i seing so I could link them together ha I'm excited

Thanks

That's a extremely poor psu with only 408w on the 12v rail. It's not even 80+ rated. Do yourself a favour and buy a decent one. The psu is the single most important component in a pc and should not be skimped on.
