Hi today I bought a real cheap set-up for my dad, as he had some ancient dell, but he only wanted to spend around £100 so I just got an Intel Celeron E3400, Gigabyte GA-G41MT-D3, 2GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM (I'll add another one later on down the line probably) and a competitor branded case w/500W PSU.

The case didn't come with any fans but there's space for a couple of 120mm ones, so I was wondering is it worth it or will the hardware that I'm using not produce enough heat to justify spending another £20 on a couple of fans when I could buy another 2GB of RAM or something instead.

EDIT: Looks like I put this in the wrong section. I just assumed that the 'Cooling' from 'Overclocking & Cooling' meant CPU cooling. If a mod could move it that would be great :D Sorry!!

for the sake of 6 quid i would defo put two in there, one will do the job but on a hot day if its on for a long time two will just keep the air moving :)

Sweet! Didn't realise you could get them that cheap tbh! The ones I've seen are like £10 each. It would be so much easier if I could find similar priced ones in local shops but I don't think it's gonna happen at prices like that :(
