case fans on the outside ?

Do you think it is better for cooling if you put case fans on the outside of the case ? The case will be less full and there will be more room for air.

I wouldn't have thought it would make any difference.

No because they'll get more dust in them, dust = heat and drag (drag will increase the level of noise).

but what if you put a fan filter (or some tights) on the outside of the fans ?

One thing though, the fans themselves get hot inside the case, absorbing the heat but if they are outside then they wont, so the hot air might try to escape the case instead ?
