Case Fans Recommendations

Just purchased the Corsair Obsidian 500D and to compliment it I would like to replace the stock fans that it ships with, what do you folks recommend is the best 120mm case fans to buy for high air flow?
 
If its purely air flow you're concerned with, most folks recommend Noctuas.

Me personally I love the Be Quiet Silent Wings 3's! They're whisper quiet even at full speed and move plenty of air.

You want RGB or non RGB ?

What sort of price per fan and how many ?

Also high airflow means more noise usually so is that an issue ? i.e Do you game with headphones on as otherwise something like a Noctua Industrial 3000rpm fan will be very loud if you let it run at full whack.
 
Need 3 Non-RGB fans, price not worried about and currently looking at the Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3's!

Anyone know the difference between the Corsair ML120 and ML120 Pro? 1 costs more than a dual pack?

ML pro has much fancier lighting I believe is the big difference. For ML the led is limited to the same colour as the frame bits (red, white and blue) while the PRO is full RGB but various patterns and what have you.
 
I recently got the high speed pwm silent wings 3 for use with a radiator and they have been great. Because they are pwm i can barely hear them most of the time but if needed they can go considerably faster under load.

I've also used 140mm noctuas and found them cool and quiet. The latest 120mm version doesnt come in black, only brown, but they have received good reviews.
 
Second the silent wings 3 my favourite fans for keeping the pc quiet while pushing air. If you don’t have a need for RGB bling and happy with the price, thy are very nice fans imo.
 
If you guys had to choose which would you buy, Silent Wings 3, Corsair ML120 or Noctua NF-S12A...
 
Okie dokie, just looking to order now, there's two versions... 1 quiet, the other is high speed which is what I'm now looking to order as advised. PWM or 3-pin? Technically auditable levels should be almost the same except the other offers much higher speeds?

So usually "case fans" just means 3-pin plugs. Do you have a method of controlling the speed? (Fan controller or motherboard DC fan control)
 
Cheers for the help folks, installed the fans yesterday adjusted the mode to silent via PWM and all seems well.
