Hi guys I asked in general hardware as well.

Recently my case fans have started running 100% in windows and I don't know how to fix it. The pc runs silent in bios but as soon as windows loads my case fans hit 1200 rpm and changes I make in bios are not making a difference.

My temps are all low idle at 29c cpu (600rpm fans) and 39c gpu (0% fans)

I had this case for 3 months and it was always silent I done a couple of updates recently windows and nvidia driver so not sure if they caused it.

Check the motherboard software, should be able to control the pwm from there

I had never used moptherboard software before so I took your advice and downloaded the gigabte app center and installed the system info viewer that says it controls fans but none of the controls do anything to my fans.

The gigabyte app seems really bad tbh.

Im still stuck at 100% case fans.

No idea why an update would've changed that though. Unless Windows is sensing some temps incorrectly (??!!)

I had thought that my self so set fans to run it off cpu temps instead but no difference as soon as I hit windows my case fans run 100%.

As I mentioned above I have temporary fix now.

Could do with permenant fix though if you can think of anything. I suppose a format or buying a fan controller would do it but hopefully there is a simpler fix.

Formatting won't save you from Microsoft patching Windows broken.

Avoiding Windows doing its things or buggy motherboard control softwares was reason why I got Aquaero.
Most fan controllers have fixed speed settings or some on/off control, but Aquaero is basically programmable logic controller.
It runs on its own hardware and doesn't care if whole Windows goes **** up.

Aquaero LT (as in lite) is lacks 5.25" control panel/display format and is controlled/programmed only through software.
Aquaero Pro and XT are 5.25" devices with also own display and some control buttons.
XT has touch screen with more buttons and comes bundled with remote.

Old Aquaero 5 has only of one its four outputs supporting PWM fan control and four pin connector.
Aquaero 6 supports both PWM and voltage control for all channels, besides higher output power.

This is not an unheard of kind of issue for motherboard software/internal control.

As for aquaero LT vs one with 5.25" front panel, display and controls, the aquaero controller has so many features it is very hard if even possible to setup and use them with only the front panel display and controls. I use two myself, one with front panel complete with remote and one LT. All of my setup, control and monitoring is done with their software package. It works very well with few issue and allows aquareo controllers to do everything but was windows, pun intended. Aquaero 5 is older version with less features but still very good. All aquaero 5 have same control ability and all aquaero 6 have same control abilities. Doesn't matter if it's LT or fancy front panel model the all have the same control features, so there is no reason to buy panel model over LT unless you want the front panel.
