right, well my NZXT BETA EVO Classic Series case is due in the next few days. it can and will house 6 x 12cm case fans. now before i get too carried away with fitting it all when it comes i just wanted to check, do all the fans, apart from the front 1 blow air out of the case? (there is 1 front, 1 rear, 2 top and 2 side fans)
apart from the front fan which comes with the case i will be using 5 of these. i know they are cheap but they will do to get me started, unless they will do more harm than good :

Key Features:

# Evo Labs 120mm Case Fan

# Cabling: 3 and 4 pin connector

# Sleeve Bearing Fan

# Retail Boxed

# Size: 120 x 120 x 25 mm

# Rated Voltage: 12 V

# Input Current: 0.14A

# Acoustical Noise: 22dB

# Speed ( R.P.M ): 2400RPM

# Max. Air-Flow: 44.84 CFM

# Life Expectancy: 70,000 hrs

cheers

The direction in which the fans run is your desicision depending how you want your air flow but i would suggest having all of your fans blowing into the case and the top 2 pushing the air out.

Best option is:
Top - Out
Back - Out
Front - In
Side - Leave off/In

ok cheers, was told by people on here, and on NZXTs site that side case fans help keep gfx cards cool, but dont know if thats by blowing cold air onto them or pulling the warm air away.very confusing and dont really want to spend ages turning them round and benchtesting every time if there is a known formula for setting them up.
also i have the arctic freezer which blows the air over the heatsink so rear would have to be like you said and pulling else i would have issues, i think

Normally, It doesn't affect temperatures too much. If you have the 2 fans spare, Then you could put them on as an intake. But its not really worth it. Sometimes they just disrupt the natural airflow - Front to back.

but it would still be pulling against the front to back airflow was my point, i understand its probably right, i just want to get my head around it all before tiding all the cables up, screwing it all together, doing an hour or so benchtest and then finding i could have done it better.
