Hi guys,

So I dropped watercooling this week. Realised I didn't really need it anymore to be honest what with this 2700k running 4.6 @ super low volts and temps.

I've gone for a Thermaltake Silver arrow cooler and my god! my whole system just looks so bare now without watercooling lol!

Thinking I don't need a huge case like the 700D - but don't know what smaller - mid-sized case will take the Silver Arrow cooler.

Any recommendations please? - I was thinking Corsair 650D but not sure if its wide enough to take the cooler's height. thanks

Got one in mine, fits fine.

any corsair case will fit that cooler
I managed to fit my SA inside a Xigmatek Midgard white edition, Just, lol about half a micron gap between the heatsinks and the case side, so you should be fine :)

All I can see is that big ugly thing in the middle! Where's the rest of the PC. :D

oops - lol - thermalright! :)

Thanks for the confirmation guys - think I'm gunna get the 650D then :>

Oh, are Thermalright letting Thermaltake make the Silver arrows now too? Well that should help with the stock shortage I guess :)

You're right though, that does look empty!

Not sure if serious.

As for cases, most decent cases should be able to fit one in. For reference, my mid tower case is 210mm wide and has ample space for the SA or even the taller Archon.

I'm quite surprised how big this cooler is! - It only just fits into my 700D! surprised people can get it into the mid-tower cases tbh!

Seriously! - First time I mounted it - I tried to set it up vertically so fans would just push the air out of the top. Then numpty here realised the bottom fan wouldn't fit due to the graphics card.

Second time I mounted it, the memory caused the first fan to actually come out of the case!!. LOL.

Third time lucky - I mounted it as an intake (only way it would fit!)

If your memory is low profile, you shouldn't have any problem.

lol. I've decided (i.e. changed my mind again!!)

Gunna put the TT up for sale and keep the rest of the watercooling I had just to cool the CPU. If a darn 120.3 can't get me 5Ghz 24/7 stable then nothing can!

It did look a lot better with all the water cooling bits an bats.
