Hi all,

I'm travelling for work on site soon and need to bring my animation PC with me. I'm looking for recommendations on a PC case that will fit in the soon to be purchased Pelicase Air 1637 suitcase.

My current case is a BeQuiet 500DX and comes in at 45 x 24 x 47 which is too large.

The internal space of the Pelicase 1637 is 59.5 x 44.6 x 33.7, however with pick'n'pluck foam adding roughly 2cm on each edge, 55.5 x 40.6 x 29.7

I'm looking at the Lian Li O11 Air Mini which is 28.8 x 38.4 x 40 and states it can support my 240mm AIO.

I don't mind if the case has a glass side, I'll probably leave that at home.

PC Spec is

Intel 12700
Arctic LFII 240mm
MSI Z690-A
Corsair Vengeance 3200 64GB (2*32)
Asus Dual 3060ti
2 * M.2 SSD + 1 * Sata SSD
Seasonic GX-850

Any thoughts or suggestions? :)

Note: I will also be removing the GPU in transit! (Eurostar Amsterdam to London)

I think I'm going to hit go on the Lian Li O11 Air Mini.

Any ideas on whether it's worth purchasing extra fans, or airflow configs for the AIO?

If you want best case scenario for cooling (pun somewhat intended) you could throw 2x120/140 in the top and bottom, assuming the AIO is front or side.

If possible, I'd pack the GPU in the original box, or if not, pack it securely in the remaining part of the flightcase. As much as possible, pad the space around the lian-li and the GPU box in foam/bubble wrap!
Thanks I think that's exactly what I'll do with the side AIO and top + bottom case fans.

Both the Peli + Lian Li have arrived and it looks like I will have enough room for a GPU section in the flightcase. Pics to follow once built! :)

Rebuild complete! It was a pretty smooth process as I left the AIO and mobo all hooked up.

The Lian Li case is very nice - Aesthetically I think I prefer the previous case (though that may just be pending a little RGB..) , but I do love the layout on the new one as well as the way the panels all interlock and remove with the thumb screws. It certainly feels a step more premium in the details and features.

I tried to side mount the Arctic 240 into the Lian Li but unfortunately it wouldn't fit due to the spacing against the front case fan brackets.

I'll be buying a few more fans for side + lower intake and maybe a little lighting to increase my performance to the max.

Then the case for the case!

Below with pick'n'pluck foam sorted - I'll also be using the anti static bag that the GPU was originally shipped in when it's in actual transit. I left a space on the right in case of bigger GPU in the future or to shove a few cables/peripherals in.

I haven't done any proper temperature testing other than a quick Cinebench. Comparing those to my screenshots from the BeQuiet 2 months ago (and factoring in a slightly higher ambient temperature now) they're roughly the same cooling wise. Everything at stock.

Props to anybody who spotted the exhaust fan the wrong way round in the photos!
