Can anyone recommend/suggest a decent setup for lighting my Lian Li Pc7 up? I quite fancy some white or blue cathodes - which are the best makes to go for as i have heard that cheaper ones 'buzz'?.

Or would i be better going for LED's?

cheers :)

I only use cheap cathodes in my case, been in for the best part of 4-5 years and still yet to see any 'buzzing'. However, led string stuff buzzes like crazy and gives out sod all light, avoid that stuff :)

I've used cheap cathodes many a time. Never had any major problems.
However, I would recomend ordering 2 sets of them, have had them turn up with a tube not giving off much light (not really worth rma'ing something that cost £3)

I've heard storys that they can burn out and catch fire, yet to have any issues myself. Personally I don't leave them on all the time due to this, only put them on when showing off for pictures, and at LANpartys.

i was thinking of 2x sharkoon 12" ones (white), do you think they will be enough or should i get 4x12" cathodes? My case is the Lian li PC7 so its not massive

2 will be fine, I've bought a set of white value cathodes from another retailer in the past and I was amazed at how bright they are. They're UV ones were disapointing however :p
