Hi guys

I am moving my htpc setup from an old proprietary case, into a Silverstone LC11. I have moved the old motherboard into the new case, but am having trouble getting the heatsink/fan for the cpu mounted securely.

The old case had mounting lugs for the heatsink/fan to screw into :

However the new case doesnt have these mounting lugs, so the heatsink/fan doesnt sit tight against the cpu.

Any ideas ? Do I need a motherboard cradle kit ?

Thanks

Hi , Do the holes match ?

If so, Buy some nuts which fit the thread of the heatsink , Remember to
put some kind of plastic washer on the nut or you get a short .

Yep, thats about all you can do. Use Fibre washers in between the nuts and the board, you will of course have to do this outside the case. Which is how a lot mount these days anyway.

I know that this is a bit cheeky, but does anyone have a couple of these screws spare ? I will off course pay for postage etc - but I cant seem to find them anywhere - i dont know the size either :(
