Case mod lights

well im thinking of getting some case lights, but not to install them into my PC case, but instead to use them to light my desk, this brings me a couple of questions

which lights would be best?

AC Ryan TWIN 30 CCFL light - 2 x30 UV

or

AC Ryan TWIN20 CCFL Light - 2 x 20cm Blue

or

Akasa Dual Blue Cold Cathodes 1 Inverter

whats the difference between the three and which would be best?

how would i power them since there not being installed into a case?

I have some blue/green ones on the back of my monitor. I also use the 'backy' in black, got it yonks ago.
My pic seems to have disappeared, but mine was blue/green.
