Hi there all its me again.

I've decided to get into case modding to;

  1. Customise my case, and give it a uniqueness.
  2. To give me a better understanding of how my PC works, although it was custom built, a friend of mine built it and unfortunately I couldn't be there too see it happen.
I've seen this Tool Kit on OcUK and to me it looks like a good enough deal.

Also I want to buy two sound activated cold cathodes for the base of my tower, kind of like the look on a car with under-car neons, I don't have much knowledge of these lights so suggestions on potentially a complete kit of which I can setup and leave be with the ability to turn on and off when needed, would be a great help.

The kit looks nice, but you probably don't need all that stuff. depends how youare off for money I guess

My moto with tools has always been buy the best you can afford. There seem to be an awful lot of tools for not a lot of money. wich means it's either very good value or quite cheap tools.

I bought that tool kit with my last order due to over the years loosing half of pc tools. I agree pay for quality tools when needed, like drill bits as a quality one will last and be better than a knock off one but for pc build this kit was enough for me. Only thing I wish it had which it doesn't is a magnetic screw driver but can work around that probelm.

Screwdriver
Allen Keys for various ones needed in my build (came supplied though)
Pliers
Scissors
Double sided tape

Built PC in sig, you don't need all those tools

Best thing if your really going for modding would be a dremel

I built my PC with just a screwdriver (one of the ones with the detachable heads).

My modding plans require a few more tools - namely dremel, drill, files and adhesives.

you don't need all those tools

Agreed, I only used the screw driver, static band and the tweasers (though this was because I dropped a screw behind my desk.) Now my pc is built the kit is on the shelf under my computer but it means if I ever need to do anything tools are easy to find and on hand.

I suppose I would come down as - Good little tool kit to keep together and not the best but works. For modding a pc I would pick some better tools :)

Ahh right, think I'll have to have a look in some of the small PC/electrical shops around town then, anyone got any suggestions on the Sound Activated CC's?
