Case modding advice - Wavemaster

I have a silver wavemaster, currently lives under the desk but im wanting to mod it and move it to the top of the desk. Not sure on what to do and how to go about doing it, thinking of a clear sidepanel but I am useless with a jigsaw, help!
 
Simply they do not look anywhere near as nice as a Anodised ATC designed case!

And the wavemaster will be unique :)
 
thanks for the replies, i had a look at the my case thread, thinking of doing a similar thing on the side panel, what stuff will i be needing?
 
lol ok mate,

and to the thread starter, i higly reccomend just spray painting the panels. Its all thats really needed on the wavemaster!
 
Acrylic, and a jigsaw I think were the stables that he used, could always post in his thread asking or email him :)
 
problem with a full acrylic side is your cable tidying skills will have to be top notch especially in such a small space like in the wavemaster plus the front mounting towers for the Drives arent very pretty to look at like in that chaps case.

Plus in answer ro Noni im currently cutting a rad grill out and its very slow work :) been doing it for weeks now
 
hmmm good point, but it does save me from messing up my side panel, as i really am useless with a jigsaw, as for the front mounting towers, i dont think they look that bad
 
ok there not that bad but there not beautiful... if you go for the acryllic side panel i wanna see it when done :) how ya thinking of mounting the panel?? hot bending the ends like the original planel? or putting holes on the top and bottom rails and screwing it in place?
 
just had a cool thourght with acryllic i might try my self get sheets of the thinnest i can find in a few colors all UV reactive... about 2-3mm and place darker colors over the parts i want to hide and lighter over parts i want to reveal that sounds nice i will try and do a paint job piccy to show you if ya interested :)

EDIT: this is *** i was meaning light blue acryllic base with a darker blue on top still clear but covering the nasty parts a bit more :)
