Hey guys,

I posted a thread a few days ago and I was given a spec by Avenged7Fold.

I currently have an NZXT Phantom Enthusiast case which won't support a 360 radiator, so I was wondering if anybody had any idea what I would have to mod to get this to fit?

And the water cooling parts are;

YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ - Acetal £49.99
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple) £49.99
1 x XSPC Photon 270 Tube Reservoir £46.99
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-CoolStream PE 240 (Dual) £39.95
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 4.0 PWM (12V DC PWM Pump) £39.95
1 x XSPC Hose Cutter (0-25mm) £6.95
2 x Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 13/10 - Clear £5.99 (£11.98)
12 x EK Water Blocks EK-CSQ Fitting 10/13mm G1/4 - Black £2.99 (£35.88)
Total : £291.25 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I also imagine I'll need to buy some fans for the radiators too?

Cheers guys! :D

EDIT: Would I be able to get away with an external radiator?

Thanks.

Why you got your eyes set on a 360 rad ? Why not go 240 and have less fuss? :P

Fans are a must, Make sure to get some decent brand.

And lastly, You can always go external, I just find its more prone to leaks when you transport it :P

If it is just CPU, you can do with jsut a 240mm easily. I speced 360 + 240 because it was in budget and wanted to fill up the case but turns out case needs modding for support.

If you plan to expand, deffo keep the 360 + 240 though.

Abandon the hose cutters, sharp scissors have always served me better.

I do plan on cooling the gpu too so I'd definitely need the 360.

Fair enough about the hose cutters, pretty sure I actually have some lying around anyway.

What fans would be good? I've thrown the budget out of the window if im honest.

Cheers!

Would I not.need 5 fans if I have a triple+dual rad?

also my case has a fan controller built in, I'm used to being deaf and being blown away - you should hear this graphics card at 100% fan speed!

Cheers! :)

You would get five of one of the ones he listed :)

I had SPs and can't recommend them, quite noisy. How well do the Noctuas perform at low RPM (~1000) in terms of noise?

Oh I guess that makes sense haha.

Any reason why the 2000 and 3000 fans are the same price?

Cheers! :)

Preference thing, some people dont use software or controllers to lower speed and some simply cant because their fan channels cannot take high powered fans without blowing.

I usually go for the highest performing fan and put it on a heavy duty fan controller to tame it. I have SP120s and GT Scythes and though they perform the same, the GTs are definitely quieter, just a shame you cant find them anymore.

Ah, well I have a 5 fan controller that come on the case.

Would you recommend going for the 3000RPM Noctuas or going for the SP120's?

Thanks!

If they're as loud as the Windforce fans on the 780 at 100% fan speed (which is what I use at the moment, massive overclock on it) I'll be shocked! :P

That's on top of the two fans I have for my CPU heatsink, and the 4 fans I have on my case :/

Ah fair enough.

Cheers for all your help mate, will be ordering this the second I get paid...

You'll probably hear from me again when I'm stuck setting the thing up! :p

Thanks again! :D

Goodluck with the set up.

If you hit any issues, post back and i am sure you will get a few answers.

Make sure you get the speed controlled version of the 4.0 pump over the older model for the same price. That way you can lower speeds if it is a tad noisy and it shouldn't hurt performance if you only have a few blocks.
