OK I have a Corsair 540 case and i want to put it on the floor under my desk, now the floor is carpeted and the carpet itself is a bit deep meaning it will block any air coming in from under those two hard drive bays inside the case itself , is it a bad idea to do that or will it be OK please ?

Thanx Steve

Holes on the bottom of the Air 540 is just from how they construct the hard drive sleds out of a single sheet of metal. So your right there isn't any bottom air intake.

As the PSU takes air from the side you should be ok with in on top of carpet.

I always avoided cases on the carpet floor due to worry of static? Ever a danger?

Most cases come with big rubber feet tho.

I've had mine on the carpet for the past 6 months without any problem at all.
Only just put it on my desk today because my toddler thinks pressing the reset button is hilarious...
