Case order dilemma from Overclockers, how best to proceed?

Good intentioned advice needed here before I send a web ticket for potential return, do have some options here, so bear with me while I explain.

What it is, have ordered a new Lian Li O11D EVO XL - Black (case) that is due to arrive tomorrow ... I have confused this case with a newer version that can accommodate my Actic cooler 420 mm size AIO cooler (even three of them apparently?) but upon further research and build preparation looks like I've ordered a case that can only accommodate typical normal sized 360 mm AIO coolers ... Dang :(

My options are >>>

1: Send it back to OCUK, but what would happen if I told delivery guy tomorrow I made a mistake and can he return to sender? I'm quite prepared to pay OCUK return postage and wait while it is processed. This is my fault, not theirs.

2: Accept case order tomorrow and send a ticket to OCUK and see where we go from there and order the newer version that looks out of stock just now but can accommodate my Arctic cooler 420 mm triple fan AIO ... Its a chunky cooler for sure.

Would not even open the box if above options are viable but would send back un-opened as delivered.

3: Accept my mistake and butcher the case to make my 420 mm AIO fit ... apparently it can be done after looking at some examples of this on Reddit ... not really ideal though is it, but cases wont wear out and are for life, so maybe.

4: Just take my mistake on the chin and order up a good and appropriate 360 AIO that will fit this case? Have now read some of the better 360 AIO can outperform my Arctic 4 420 mm triple rad ... if so what would be the best 360 triple rad to buy for this case and running an AMD 7950 3DX at only stock speeds?

Please help, know I've made a big mistake here and need some honest down to earth practical advice, spent a lot of money on this build, RTX 4090 too, just unsure how best to rectify my mistake.

Thanks.

Normal procedure would be to accept delivery, raise return case, return unopened - if you refuse delivery there is more potential for problems like an unscrupulous driver claiming they delivered it, etc. (depends on courier but some companies a failed delivery goes against the driver even if the recipient refused delivery).

Had this with Apple and DPD. They suggested just to refuse delivery. Saves having to set up a new collection/ RMA number I guess.

There’s also been instances where the seller can call back the package before it gets to you.

Speak to overclockers first, agree to either refuse delivery in which case it's returned to them. Or they will ask you to accept and raise a return.

Either way, just give them a call it shouldn't be a problem.

Returning to sender under as a 'refused delivery' is standard procedure for couriers. A big shop will likely misplace or not seem to understand that a parcel has been returned to them via refused delivery however, this is just because their system is poop and such is life in the world of big companies. However if you're happy to wait for them to work it out it can sometimes be the easiest and cheapest way. You should order the new case now instead of waiting.

Accepting delivery and returning is only a pain however if you can't wait in again for courier, go to parcel drop shop, don't want to pay return charge, and don't want to chase for your refund of original postage. You are entitled to this by law, but not the returning cost.

Life too short. Do #1. Not got cash, get credit and pay off within the month.

Edit.
DPD: you lightly might be able to refuse delivery on their site even. Though when spending 4090 money, why be impatient and mess things up?

Guys, this is quite embarrassing, but perhaps I have ordered the correct case. after all for my needs ???

I'll know soon because its due to be delivered today.

I did my research well for my build, but at time of writing the Lian Li case that can fit 420 AIO's was out of stock, but stock levels must update quite quickly so I started looking at the next one down and eventually settled on a Lian Li O11D EVO XL - Black Please tell me this case can accomodate the Arctic II 420 mm AOI triple cooler?

I am honestly not sure.

And called OCUK just now whom have confirmed I have bought the right case after all for my Arctic cooler II 420 cooler, so pleased and so chuffed, please ignore this thread completely ... I've been a daftie :) Thanks for all help offers though, much appreciated :)

Link the case you ordered and the one that was out of stock.

Well I Dont know how to link to out of stock items, but this is whats arriving today from OcUK and happy with this.
