no selling / wanted threads outside MM please

erm...
alsa corp paint is VERY VERY expensive stuff and its not exactly the type u pick up at halfords !.

alsa corp makes paints for professional painters with the right equiopment to use it.
its really not somethign that can be doen if you have no experience of 'proper' spraying.
then again you may be a coarch worker for all i know :P, i was just going off the fact u asked for siters explaining how ;)
if i were you id get the paint job doen by a pro... thats after tyuo realise the cost of the paint alone !

edit:
forgot to add, those paints are what we call 2 packs (* althought the yanks call em somethign else) withouth proper breathing equipment those types of paint can have a pretty bad effect on your health... they contain iso cyanates amongst other thigns. catylised clear coats are highly reccomended for an anything near decent finish... also contains isocyanates. any other cheapie type of pre mixxed aerosol ( non catylised) will tend to kind iof bleed into the finish and ruin it. so dont bother :P

thanks for the info i do have a friend that's a coach worker but i would think even he may have trouble with this. I did see the price of the paint and i was prepared to pay it but meh ...

lol robots :P

prismatic paint(miss understood as two tone :o ) is a quick process lol. getting it even and smooth is a skill though ;)
or were you refering to 2 tonne ( as in the weight) and a transformer asin erm... yea one of those :S
i didnt want to shoot you down in flames mate but this kind of paint is really best left to the pros.

I was referring to the 2 tonne, 33kv electrical grid transformers that we restore at work :D

They get hooked up to an electrode that gives them a charge, and the paint comes out the gun with the opposite charge, giving an even coat all over very, very quickly.

ah so like powder coating but with paint :D
cool

Yup, we're supposed to be getting some powder coating stuff eventually, but we've got a huge backorder on stuff we need that hasn't arrived yet

just thought i might add.
i was talkign to another painter today and we were sharing experiences.
he has acctualy suffered from isocyanate poisoning before as a result of not wearing his mask for ONE JOB
its frightened me as theres always been the odd time the masks gone missing so a tea towel will do...
but yea
6 month of treatment, injections, hairloss just pure horror... he said he felt liek he was dying.
and that from painting one job without a mask.
