Case Question! can you help? :)

Hi all,

Im looking to get an "Asus Rampage II Extreme" and an "i7 950" and was wondering if my case would still be up to the job to hold these even tho it came out 5/6 years ago. Im hoping to buy a "Corsair H50-1 watercooler" to help provide more cooling along side the case fans.

My case is a "Thermaltake Tsunami Dream" here is a link to a pict/reviews.

Case specs:

Cooling system:

* Front (intake): 120 x 120 x 25mm, 2000 rpm 21dBA fan
* Rear (exhaust): Blue LED fan: 120 x 120 x 25 mm, 2000 rpm, 21dBA fan
* Side (intake): 90 x 90 x 25, 1800 rpm, 21dBA fan

Motherboards:

* Micro ATX, Standard ATX, Extended ATX

Yeah should be fine, it takes eatx, you'll have to fit h50 at rear I expect

actually now that youve said that, would a H50 even work connected to an exhaust fan. I would imagine that you would want cool air being pulled through the radiator instead of warmish air pushed out through it. am i wrong?

also having read around the forums more, and reading a couple of reviews im going to go for a "Asus P6X58D-E" board. would that fit into my case?

yep the P6X58D-E will fit inside the case

its best to have the h50 fans as intake but it will still work as outtake, however the easy solution is to turn your fans around

Only do that if you have exhausts on the top...

Otherwise set up your H50 as an exhaust on the rear in pushpull.
