Hey there hoping some people can help me decide on a new case.
My setup is as follows
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
Core i7920 D0 @ 3.2Ghz (160x20)
6GB Corsair Dominator @1604 Mhz
HIS Radeon Hd 6970 (Stock Settings)
Teagan 1000W PSU
1 SSD + 2 WD 640GB in Raid 0
Story goes like this I've had my trusty Akasa Eclipse 62 v2 for some time now without many issues however I have NB temp problems and as I'm typing this my NB is sat at 53°C idle ><
A short time ago I changed from Air cooling the i7 to a H70 and this dropped the CPU temps suitably but the NB remains an issue.
The P6T comes with fittings to install a 40mm Chipset fan if you use watercooling (I was even using this on air cooling) I have since used a 40mm to 60mm adapter to install a Scythe Mini-Kaze fan to up the airflow a touch (just fitted in ><)
I have the H70 with 2x 120mm Akasa Apache Black fans in push pull forcing air out the back of the case as the other case fan (also 120mm Akasa Apache Black) is an intake fan at the front with a dust filter so it seemed silly to reverse this.
Now to the point
When I run games my Gfx card heats up and as it straddles the heatpipe for the chipset in turn roasts the NB temps. I can over come this by running the gfx card fan on manual settings at around 75% duty but this is quite loud and if I forget I get the temp alarms going off. So my conclusion is that the airflow over the board is not good enough with just 1x 120mm intake fan

Now I'd prefer not to spend £200 on a case but If it comes down to it I could be persuaded.
(I'm off now to grab the BOIS settings for the overclock as I'm sure these are fine but incase people think this is the root of the issue I will post
