I'm looking to buy the below spec, ideally tonight, and I'm now needing a case. My current 10 year old PC case is falling apart (£25 coolermaster, served me well) and my friend was going to give me an old one he has in the garage but I don't see the point of scrapping a working PC just for the case.

I was previously recommended the Zalman i3 but I just noticed that it doesn't have an external 3.5 slot for a DVD drive. Granted I don't use it all that often (does anyone anymore?) but I don't want to buy an external DVD drive and store it somewhere when my internal one is working fine. My drawer of random PC stuff is already overflowing.

I have a couple of old 120mm Akasa fans from years back that still work so doesn't matter if they don't come preinstalled. My target for the entire build was £800 with a max of £900. Can someone recommend me a case that isn't awful? Ideally less than £50 but I'm willing to pay a bit more if it's worth it.

I'm not bothered about lights or windows, my PC sits under my desk with the left side close to the wall. Stealthier the better but budget/performance are more important to me.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £832.04 (includes shipping: £11.10)

If you don't specifically need a full sized motherboard, you could get the M-ATX Mortar Max instead of the Pro MAX.

It'd give you a few more options case wise.

I personally find the Citadel Micro to be spot on.

Just remember that these are M-ATX cases so you would need to switch to the Mortar MAX.

I had the Fractal Design Focus G model as my last case, they are great cases, lots of cable management space and very good air flow... The only thing that let it down for me was not having a PSU shroud but that's a personal opinion
