My NZXT case simply can't shift enough to cool my system so I'm looking to change it. Can you guys recommend something for the following spec?

Q6600 with stock cooler (for the moment)
ABIT IP35 (I may also change this soon)
BFG 8800 GTS 512meg
2 WD SATA drives
Pioneer DVDRW
Corsair HX 520 PSU

I want something in black to go with the black dvd drive and around the £100 mark. Size isn't really important.

Thanks

OPer:

do you have an NZXT hush by any chance?

if so, i had a similar problem

i changed my cooler to a tuniq tower (barely fits, had to modify mounting plate) and it runs my Q6600 at 3GHz fine silently. Gets a bit toasty with this weather but its not at load that often.

Yup, it's the hush. How did you have to modify the mounting plate? Any pics?

it was because of the motherboard not because of the case, all i had to do was cut 2 mounting extensions off the end (which were for some random motherboard type)

What pics would you like? of the inside of the case or of the modification?

Edit: The mod i did for my x38 maximus formula:

You see the H-Plate there, i had to cut off the bobbly bits that poke out if you know what i mean :P

apologies if that link counts as a competitor link, please remove it if so.

I think i understand what you did. (although I'm not quite sure what the H-plate is actually for). Are you still using the original case fans in your nzxt hush?
