Hi,

I am building a X99 platform PC but struggle to choose a case myself...

Cases that I am considering at the moment:

1. Enthoo Evolv ATX: 235mm (W) x 495mm (H) x 510mm (D)
2. Enthoo Luxe: 235mm (W) x 560mm (H) x 550mm (D)

Evolv ATX is a very good looking case and there seem to be lots of good reviews about it...Enthoo Luxe is a very good full tower which has a bit of extra space...

Will the extra space in Enthoo Luxe give better cooling/airflow for the system? Both cases have plenty of room my motherboard, GPU and hard drives...I am more interested in which one gives better cooling for the system and flexibility in future if I decided to upgrade my system.

Other recommendations are welcome:)

Was in a similar poisition, went for the Enthoo Luxe for the rig in my sig, which should be arriving on Wedensday/Thursday this week.

I went for the Luxe due to my current case not having enough clearance for my CPU cooler (Brocken 2).

I figured a full tower case will give me tons of headroom for future upgrades and the case has a ton of room for more cooling options, the cable management seems excellent and i like the PSU shroud etc.

I also like the bling on the case (lighting) so also ordered a seperate 2m led strip for the inside :D

Will keep ya updated.

i had the enthoo luxe before, its a really nice case but i found it to be a bit noisy due to the vented design

I have heard a few complaints about the Luxe noise, but surely this is fan/component dependent as much as anything else? I am not sure how the Evolv compares, but with those thick panels I'd have thought it offered decent sound deadening, although it's obviously not designed as a silent case. I have seriously been considering one myself actually, but my concern is the air flow... seems the top can be a choke point according to many reviews I've read. One of those cases I think you need to approach with some thought when it comes to the best cooling method.

I rebuilt back into my old cm storm stryker, which isn't a bad case itself. I did prefer the luxe though design and functionality wise.

A few things to note about the luxe and extras.
The LED strip you can buy is not very sticky. It keeps dangling down inside my case.
The are makes a fair bit of noise. Not fan noise but creaking noises etc. This can happen more than one hour after the pc has been turned off. Scared the life out of me. This isn't a huge problem but one of the posts I read mentioned noise and I thought I'd add what people might mean by noise.

It is a great case. Can have fans everywhere. Remove psu shroud and you have got a gap for an extra intake fan at bottom. Which is good if you think the front intakes are restricted.

Agree, great case apart from the cracks and creaks, the noise when it's cooling scares passing cats :)

I'm going with the Enthoo Evolv Micro ATX Case next,

Had the Enthoo Evolv ATX Mid on my EATX X99, but going for a smaller Mini Board this time.

If you're after a large case the Thermaltake F51 might work.
It's like a larger R5 clone but with better filters and more modular.
It's meant to be quiet, takes full e-atx, has a 200mm intake fan, 140 exhaust and fan controller.
You can have any colour you want, as long as it's black.

Thermaltake Core X5 would be my recommendation.

This will be my next case.

Was looking to get one last week but put on hold for the time being.

why are you putting it on hold at the moment?

Had other priorities...my current case is fine to be fair, this is a want more than a need.
The X5 ticks off some check boxes for my next case, ie horizontal mobo, filters all round (most magnetic, which is nice), cube shaped, all black interior, spacious, to name a few.

Just a case of upgradeitis.
