Decided I'm going to get rid of the Vapo LS, had it since before they were released (review sample) and to be honest its given me no end of trouble with the chill control unit failing many times over, basically if I have to turn off my PC for any reason at all, maybe just to take a card out, the compressor won't restart unless its been sat standing for 1hr or more, that and the constant locking up of the chill control causing the compressor to overheat has tried my patience and really I just want some convenience. That coupled with my FX60 that clocks terribly (3ghz on phase... /sigh) I'm really not that bothered by the performance increase.

Looking for a nice case, cost really isn't an issue, ones that have caught my eye are the Lian Li 777, kinda like the different Nautillus look of the case, plus the internal design is fantastic. Other cases that I'm quite tempted by are the Silverstone TJ03 and 07, the 03 is kinda bland but a nice quality case none the less, my reservations about the 07 are simply the issues picked up on review, however if the new revision is now here that helps somewhat. I'm no stranger to cases since I used to work for www.bit-tech.net so have built and seen my fair share of modded cases to boot.

What would you recommend out of those 3? Or perhaps you have something else in mind. I want something special, not a boring steel box. I've had PC70's and 201's before so something a little different would be nice. It's housing an FX60, 2x7900GTX's in SLI (quad SLI next week), 2gb Corsair, 2 raptors, 2 250gb 16mb maxtors, Physx card, X-Fi, 2 DVD RW's and a 1000w PSU.

Looking forward to your suggestions, oh and the case will need to be black unless its particularly special.

TJ03 isnt really a go with that rig, it will be very noisey to get the cooling job done.

TJ07, if you hang around a bit will be a good case to get once the new revision is out.

The snail, great case if you like the look of it and definately one to make a statement with.

Nothing bad to report bar the TJ03's cooling potential at low noise levels that you had not picked up.

Personally it would be the snail, the TJ07 in my eyes is nothing to special. The snail is special, wacky, like a vento, but special in its own way.

They look alrite in person but are a bit to standout for me.

Is the PSU the tagan or PCP&C one?

Theres always some of the new Lian Li's if you don't mind waiting a little while, the TJ07 seems to be an excellent case if a little overpriced.

V2000 is a nice case, the new Akasa Mirage is also very good although it is ugly.

Coolermaster Stacker 830, another good case but looks might put you off a bit.

The new Zalman HD160 HTPC cases look very nice but may not be suited to the high end parts.

Really depends on your personal preference, as they are all excellent cases.

Edit: PSU must be a PCP&C one as Tagan only make 900w/1100w models now 1000w.

Seen as you seem to know what styles and appearance you like, bar a anodised Lian Li, there is not that much 'special'.

Seen as you like having issues with your computer, you could buy 4 Vento's and have fun breaking the doors off :D
