Hi all
Just looking for a bit of advice on a new case.
My previous PC had a Fractal define R5 which was very quiet and i enjoyed that aspect.
So far i have narrowed my search to the two following cases:

Fractal Design Meshify 2 compact case
or
Be quiet pure base 500dx

I'm looking for a quiet yet good cooling case, does anyone have any thoughts on the two above or perhaps something better?
Thanks

If you want silence go for the Meshify 2 , you know how quiet Fractal fans are from not hearing the R5 for all those years. To keep it quiet you will have to be careful what other fans are running in it and it will most likely never be as quiet as the R5 because only passive PCs made less noise.

i like the look of the meshify 2 probably more than the be quiet however it is mesh and therefore more 'open' but then as i liked the R5 i believe there was a define R7 which would probably be just as good.....decisions.
Any other alternatives?

I went from an R4 to a Meshify 2 Compact a few months back now. I had a similar list I was picking from, but the front filter looked easier to maintain on the Fractal compared to everything else similar. I've used the stock fans and found them to be as good as usual for Fractal, my 3060ti FE while gaming is louder than than the case fans. I don't have any mechanical drives in my case though, I suspect the R4/R5 type cases with noise blocking panels would be better for blocking drive noise.

when you say drive noise i presume you mean old style 3.5 hard drives?
My intention is to run SSDs so hopefully that negates that problem
How do you find the meshify 2 compact as that is my favorite choice at the moment?
