Need to replace the case for my server. It's currently an old unbranded beige piece o' crap ;)

Looks are not too important, it sits parallel with my desk at the back next to the wall so rarely gets seen.

It needs to do the following:

  • Be quiet!
  • Filters on the fan intakes (fed up of it dusting up)
  • Have room for a standard ATX Mobo
  • Space for 6x HD's
  • Space for 1x DVD
  • Have GOOD ventilation
  • Be QUIET
  • Ideally be smaller than full tower!
  • Ideally be under £70.

hmmm let's see... the coolermaster 690 dominator, only has 5 hdd mounts in the removeable rack things, but space for a sixth isn't a problem (use the 3.5" mount above) ventilation is good.. it's quiet enough that in my system the only fan that I can really hear.. is the one on my graphics card. there is a filter on the front intake fan. it's smaller than a FULL tower (as in it's a mid tower) and it is under 70 quid.. so, ticks most of your boxes..

I've got a nzxt hush and think it's great. It's quiet (as its name suggests) and looks nice too. It has space for maximum 7 hd's but that depends on your graphics card. If you've got anything like an 8800gt (what I've got) or bigger you'll lose one or two or the spaces.

Also according to one review it has lower cpu temps than the coolermaster stacker! You'd have to put a filter on the front fan intake but that wouldn't be that hard. I think the grill on the front stops a fair bit of dust though because mine gets dusty but the inside doesn't.

In short it's a really good case.
