I've got a bit of a problem, my new hard drive arrived the other day and I soon realised I wouldnt be able to fit it as easily as I thought... my super sized graphics card meant I couldnt fit in more than 1 hard drive in the 3 HD bays I have... however there's tons of room further up as I only have one CD drive bay out of 3 in use... For now I've wedged the old hard drive in place there but I'm weary that it's not ideal.

Is there any sort of funky attachment that would allow me to modify a CD/DVD bay and turn it into one that'd let me seat the hard drive properly? Or am I stuffed? :D

Thanks in advance...

Sure is
Do a search for this

Lian Li EX-553B 5.25 Bay Convetor to (1) 3.5' or (2) 2.5" HDD/SSD & Slim Optical Drive

That was just the first one that came to mind, there will be cheaper options as well

I know you can get them and a quick search on google will bring them up (well im almost certain you can get them) but we cannot mention competitors, however if its fine how it is you might aswell just leave it there, unless its for aethetic reasons?

Thanks guys, I've had a quick look at the Lians, will they still be compatible with none Lian cases though? from the photos it appears it will but the descriptions state designed for use with Lian... :S

Well I did wonder about just leaving it but I have a 2 year old who's facinated with all things expensive and electrical and I was under the assumption a hard drive is more protected if its properly secured from knocks and bumps?

This is cheaper. Alternative is this (can also fit a 2.5" hard disk).

If you had the space & wanted the HD(s) to be cooled, there is this
