Hi Everyone,

I am quite new to this forum.

I would like to ask if anyone can help me choosing a good case for a PC I am going to build.
Its going to house an i7 920, Asus p6td or Gigabyte ex8-ud5(cant decide yet), ATI 5770, ...

I really don't know what factors to look on cases, and to be honest I never build a PC before (I can build PCs though I think.)

would appreciate any suggestion, help, etc.
thanks a lot

Hi, I am new here too :). And I am building a PC which is quite similar to yours.

For air cooling I think the coolest case now is ACTs 840. It is not too expensive, big, easy to build, air filter, removable mother tray and much more :). Really love it.

However I then go for 800D (^.^) the reason is because .... it look better :D.

Thanks a lot for the reply FunnyKids.

Don't you think more than £140 is toooooo much for spending on a case?
I'm looking for something under £70-80...

Then I love HAF 932. It's like a small version of ACTs 840 and in some review the performance of HAF is better than ACTs 840.

The only reason why I dont like HAF 932 is it does not have air filter. Compare between HAF 932 to ACTs 840 is like compare a good looking boy to a gentlement.

ANTEC Skeleton

go on, you know you want to.....

Real easy to work with, ultimate air cooling, good fun and easy to mod.

Given you dont like the subtle look of the fractal designs, look at an antec 902, bit more than your budget at £90 but great cooling and good options, alternatively the coolermaster HAF922 is very similar as you suggest
Youre not allowed to link or mention competitors, thats why it starred it out, so youll have to edit those posts, if you want to refer to a specific case OcUK dont have use the manufacturers website (asus) to link to

sorry for that competitor thing, I couldn't find asus link for it.
have to mention that OcUK has this case, but it doesn't come with 4 fans. so wanted to know considering 4 fans included, then how good it is?

I took a look at antec 902, how good is it? I don't like the design too much, compared to the cooler master ones, but anyway, how good is it compared?

as I say the 902 and HAF 922 are very similar, not aware of direct comparisons between these two but there have been for their bigger brothers the 1200 and HAF932, in which the 1200 shades it with better cooling, not much in it though

The 902 is a good case, although a little tight to work in. I'd go for the Antec 1200, a little more cash, but superior cooling with 6 fans total supplied. Plus roomy for those extra bits that you just know you'll have to add in!!!!

Thanks a lot everyone.

I got a Cooler Master HAF 922 w/ Side Window :)
Not yet built the PC as I don't have all the components yet, but anyway, hope I like it :)
cheers
